Christina says: I wrote my memoir to encourage others to believe there is a special plan for their life, to never forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith, to pursue the gifts God has given them and to pass on those blessings to others. We each have a destiny to be discovered, a light that is meant to shine and a journey before us yet to be explored. I hope my readers will Look Up to the possibilities in their future and discover Pearls for the Journey from unexpected people and places along the way. And ultimately, like the Ocean Star, when we are connected to our Source of Life, no matter what gets broken along our journey, we will be made whole

Christina: I wrote You’re Designed to Shine to encourage girls of all ages to become the shining stars they are designed to be. I wanted to create something that would empower and equip you to take a good look at your own lives and inspire you to look up and see that your future is full of promise, hope and light.

Girls around the world are going through the study to grow on their own journey. But it is my ultimate hope that once you go through this study/journal on your own, you will gather a group of girls and guide them through the material with the use of the Leaders Guide.

Please do not wait until you feel ‘perfect’ or ‘ready’ or ‘wiser’....Girls are looking for leaders who are ‘real’, ‘loving” and “kind”. I hope you will take some time to think about some girls in your neighborhood, families, church, schools, etc...and consider speaking words of hope into their lives.

So whether you live by the sea, the mountains, or somewhere in between, you’ll enjoy helping girls in your own ministry or community uncover new treasures that will empower and encourage girls on their journey.
